Why a Naota shrine? well, that should be obvious.

because no one else has done it.

oh, and i love everything about Naota, like i never have loved a character in an anime before. that too ^_~

In short, because i adore Naota, and no one else had the balls to shrine the guy. i can't figure out why, becuase i'm in love with him. did you know that if he aged normally (assuming he's 12 when FLCL ends, and ages as time passes in the real world) he'd be about my age? it's probably why i can relate to him. and boy can i.

why? becuase. he's struggling, aren't we all? he's struggling with love, with his feelings. he's struggling to become his own person, after living in his brother's shadow, he's struggling to grow up. everyone can relate to at least one of those. i can relate to all of them.

i love the way he tries to shun away the world around him, as if nothing mattered. because, to him, nothing does matter. he doesn't know who he is, he can't concern himself with figuring out everyone else, too.

i love how he tries to hard, and so obviously to fit in. but by the end of the series, he can do his own thing. he doesn't want to fit in anymore, and he starts to become his own person. that's admirable.

i love Naota, i love FLCL, and that's why i made a shrine to him, ladies and gentlemen. pelase feel free to ridicule this as much as you like.
